How to Ground Myself when I am feeling Overwhelmed & Anxious.
First of all – What is grounding? Grounding is done by connecting yourself with the earth to balance out your physical and spiritual energy in your body. When you feel grounded, you feel steady, strong, centered, focused and present. Unfortunately, most people are unaware that they are ungrounded. As our lives become busier, we become more disconnected from ourselves, doing, striving and pushing ourselves harder each day to achieve, we often loose touch with the concept of “being”.
How do I respond instead of reacting?
If mindfulness means being more centered within and aware of others, then this is a practice we need to embrace to prevent “reacting” and be able to focus on responding to all situations in our lives. It is impossible to really listen and hear what is happening for the other person when we are in a reactive state.

Having healthy boundaries helps to keep your life in balance, create meaningful relationships that work for you. Increases your self esteem and value. Helps you to be true to yourself and stay connected with what is really important to you in your life.
